I know that I could not be alone when I say that I love gossip, and Celebrity
gossip is at the very top of my list. I have found myself having conversations with my friends about the latest headlines which I have heard about on television or have read about on the Internet.

Now, there is some celebrity gossip which just does not make sense to me, but somehow, I start to believe it even if it is not true. How many times can I read about Jay Z having a secret lovechild that he does not claim? When I know that the rapper would likely claim his first born, and would not have had anything to hide, since he was not married to the lovely Beyonce at the time that conception likely took place. This is celebrity gossip which can ruin people’s lives, even if there is no inkling of a truth to it.

The sensationalism of celebrity gossip gives a certain high and sense of belonging into the lives of the celebrities which we read about. Of course, I don’t believe everything that is said about Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, like they have broken up every week, even when I have just seen them walking hand-in-hand the day before the celebrity gossip report surfaces.

I know that I am not alone when I say that I live for the next piece of gossip, but do feel bad when I read certain things which I know can have an adverse effect on the celebrity which I am reading about. Like the headlines that often surrounded Amanda Bynes, who was clearly not herself, and any celebrity gossip story that I read about the former Nickelodeon darling, should have been checked out prior to believing everything which was reported about Bynes, especially since she is said to suffer from a mental illness. It is especially sad to see childhood celebrities make the headlines, when they really never had a chance to live their lives. So, there is some celebrity gossip which seems to hurt more than others, when you keep hearing it time and time again.

Everything must be taken in moderation, as the saying goes, and while I live for celebrity news and gossip, I have to make sure to keep an open mind about some things which I hear about that I know is not true or could damage the soul of the celebrity who has made the headlines, because if it were me, I do not know if I could live through the scrutiny that comes with the being a person who has a public persona. The assumptions, and the Celebrity News and gossip can really become detrimental to people who are not strong enough to separate fact from fiction, and celebrity gossip from what is really reality. There is a thin line between what is true and what is fiction so this is where common sense comes into play, and there are many times that we have to use our own in order to know what is right and what is fiction.
